Seminar Day 2009
Wyevale East Nurseries hosts third successful seminar day: "Adapting to change"
Wyevale East Nurseries, Landscape Stone, East Horticulture and Sailshade (the four businesses at The Landscape Centre) hosted their third seminar on 17th June at their site in Swanley, Kent.
The day was a great success with over 160 delegates enjoying presentations by some wonderful speakers. With the theme of 'adapting to change' Business Coach Jo Stickings gave a great presentation about the ways to improve your business by adapting to the changes and challenges the current climate throws at us. Gardeners World's Matthew Biggs went down a storm with his presentation 'The Pleasure Principal' and APL's Jason Lock was very informative. Wyevale's own Richard McKenna entertained the crowd with his take on plants and local celebrity and creator of Lullingstone's 'World Garden' Tom Hart Dyke wowed the audience with his enthusiastic, energetic and hilarious take on how he rose to the challenges of financing his project at Lullingstone and how he adapted to achieve success. The guests went away with some great ideas of how best to adapt to the current difficult times in our industry. There were 20 exhibitors at the event, many of whom reported they had generated some great new business potential from the day. Part of the registration fee for the event was donated to children's charity 'Greenfingers'.
Wyevale East Manager, Richard McKenna said of the event "It was wonderful to see so many people giving up their time to join us on this day, where many thoughts and ideas were exchanged to the benefit of all concerned".Wyevale East customer and guest `Jeanne Coates from company 'Innerscapes' said "A well run and inspiring day, I came away with renewed enthusiasm"
