Wyevale East Nurseries hosts second successful seminar day: "Gardens are not made by sitting in the shade"

Wyevale East Nurseries and The Landscape Centre hosted their second seminar on 18th June at their site in Swanley, Kent.

The day was a huge success with over 190 delegates enjoying presentations by three key speakers plus two short talks. Speakers Dan Luscombe from Bedgebury Pinetum, Matt James, garden designer and TV's City Gardener and 11 times Chelsea award winner Julian Dowle wowed the crowd with their interesting and informative presentations. Julian also treated the guests to a 'pruning master class' which was very well received. There were 18 exhibitors at the event, many of whom reported they had generated some great new business potential from the day. A donation of £500 was presented to Nigel Palmer from the Horticulture charity 'Perennial'.

Wyevale East Manager, Richard McKenna said of the event "A fantastic day, great to see so many people enjoying themselves at the site. The speakers went down a storm and we are looking forward to next year's event".

Speaker Julian Dowle commented "I was really impressed by the range and quality of plant material at Wyevale East. The hospitality and organization of the day was also excellent".

Wyevale East customer and guest Julie Johnson from company Environ Country Homes said "A welcoming and well organized day, good contacts made. Please thank all the staff for their hard work to make the day a success for us".

The Seminar has already generated an incredible amount of positive feedback and will definitely be an annual event for the horticulture industry's calendar.
