Seminar Day 2007
Wyevale East Nurseries hosts successful seminar day: "Innovation - the key to creation"
Wyevale East Nurseries and The Landscape Centre in Swanley, Kent, recently hosted a seminar day with the theme of 'innovation, the key to creation'.
The day was a huge success with over 140 delegates enjoying presentations by five key speakers including Andrew Fisher Tomlin from the Society of Garden Designers, David Gilchrist from the HTA, Simon Taylor from Plantworks, Tom Hart Dyke and Trevor Tooth. Tom Hart Dyke who went down a storm with his 'tales of a modern day plant hunter' presentation has told us "It was great to be invited to talk at the inaugural seminar day. I thought it was brilliant and showed there is a great local support and interest in the world of landscaping. I am so pleased the day was such a success."
There were also thirteen exhibitors in attendance, who enjoyed meeting the attendees on the day. Simon Taylor of Plantworks was both an exhibitor and a speaker, he writes: "I want to congratulate you on the success of last week's seminar; we were very impressed, not only with the organisation, but the quality of business potential generated."
The registration fee for the seminar was donated between two charities, namely Greenfingers, who provide gardens in children's hospices and The Swanley Mayor's chosen charity.
Some comments from delegates include 'A very promising inaugural event, many thanks'. ' Excellent, positive and informative', and Alan Bartlett from Alan Bartlett Garden Scapes said 'very enjoyable, the best of this type of seminar that I have been to.'
This was the first event of its kind that Wyevale East and The Landscape Centre have undertaken and due to a phenomenal amount of positive feedback we hope it will become an annual event, expanding on numbers and exhibitors. |
