Description: An evergreen, rounded shrub with lance-shaped leaves. The new shoots have a pink tinge. Masses of clusters of red flowers with bright yellow anthers appear in spring. Looks great in containers and mediterranean gardens.

 
Climate / Position: Prefers full sun in a sheltered spot.

Height / Spread: 2 metres x 2 metres

Soil Requirements: Well drained neutral to acid fertile soil.

Pruning: None required but can be pruned lightly after flowering to maintian shapes. Can tolerate hard pruning if needed.

 
Not suitable for shallow chalky soils. A valuable low maintenance shrub with a long flowering period.
